The influence of parental relationship in family education problematic experiences in Chinese adolescents
It is known that the child has emotional problems, behavioral abnormalities associated with adverse events in his family. To assist him real and effective assistance to insufficient knowledge of the psychological characteristics of behavior. Need to know what exactly leads to undesirable behavior.
According to A. Ya. Varga parent relation is understood as a system of diverse feelings in relation to child behaviours practiced in communion with him, peculiarities of perception and understanding of the character and personality of the child, his actions . Every family develops its own system of relations between children and parents, which is determined by the nature of the educational influences. Wrong education contributes to the development of pathology of identity formation, negative attitudes towards others, a distorted view about the world.
In accordance with the task of conducting comparative studies of parent-child relationship in families of adolescents with high and low levels of problem concerns, we conducted a survey of 494 adolescents aged 12-18 years old students enrolled in secondary schools in Harbin (China). For the difficult experiences of adolescents were elected to the technique of “Problem profile”, developed by Seiffge – Krenke and tested in the research, 1984, 1989, 1991. The questionnaire was adapted to the Russian sample previously, in studies of L. in St. Petersburg in 1993, 1996 and 2001 . The questionnaire includes a description of problematic situations 78 of the seven areas of life (school, future, parents, peers, other sex, free time and of the self). Adolescents were asked on a 5-point scale to assess the presence of problematic experience related to each of these situations. Further positives the amount of points you gaining the respondents was determined by the average score, and in accordance with the level of problem concerns.
To clarify the parent-child relationship in families of adolescents used a variety of complementary techniques: “the Analysis of family relations” (DIA) (E. G. Eidemiller and Vladimir Ustilago 1990) . “The test questionnaire parental relation to children” (ORO) (A. Varga, V. V. Stolin) and “Teenage parents” (ERP) (L. I. Wasserman, I. A. Gorovoy, E. E. Ramezani 1995, 2000, 2001) .
After the questioning on “Problem profile” was defined by the level of the problem concerns the Teens and s on this criterion, we identified five groups of respondents with different degree of problem concerns. In the group with the lowest degree included adolescents. in which the rate of problem concerns is in the range from 1.03 to 1.78 points on a scale (98). The second group (with index in the interval of from 1.79 to 2.21 points) included 99 people. the third group (or 2.21 points to 2.54) – 99 people in the fourth group (from 2.54 mm to 3.00 points) – 99 people, and the group with the highest degree of concern (from 3,01 to 4,40 stars) – 99 people. Below is a comparative analysis of parental relations in groups of adolescents with the highest and lowest degree of problem concerns.
1. Data on types of family upbringing . obtained using a questionnaire ASV shown in table 1. As can be seen, significant differences between groups are observed on scales of “ignoring” and “minimality of sanctions”. Average values on a scale of “ignoring the needs” of $ 1.87 points in the group with a low level and 2.25 points in the group with high level. This suggests that the parents of the latter group are not enough strive to meet the needs of the child, household material and spiritual. The children suffer more spiritual needs, especially the need for emotional contact, love and attention. The average value on a scale of “minimality of sanctions” in the group with a low level amounted to 3.50 score in the group with high level of 3.09 points. This means that the parents of the first group often prefer to do without punishment.
